A Roblox item can be sold before its proceeds are available to spend. Start with the sale record, not the number beside the Robux icon. The record helps distinguish earnings that are still pending from a listing that has not sold, a different account's sale, or a transfer that needs attention.
For an item you bought and resold, Roblox's selling guide says the proceeds first appear as pending and later move into the balance. Its Experience Pass guidance describes a similar escrow stage for pass earnings. Neither page gives a single release deadline that you can safely apply to every sale. Find the sale on the account that earned it
Use a browser for the transaction-history workflow documented by Roblox:
- Sign in to the account that owned the item or earned the sale.
- Select the Robux icon at the upper right, then select your Robux amount to open My Transactions.
- Use the transaction-type filter to select Sales of Goods. Roblox describes this as the sales history for virtual items and passes.
- Check the item and sale date against the sale you are investigating. Review the available date filters if the expected record is outside the visible period.
The Summary view shows incoming and outgoing Robux. Purchases shows items and passes you bought, so it is the wrong starting point when you are investigating money earned by selling one. The mobile app's balance display alone does not replace the browser transaction history. Roblox's transaction-history instructions.
If you manage more than one account, verify the username before interpreting an empty result. For a creator selling through a group, distinguish the group's sales from the member's personal transactions. An item title or a buyer's screenshot is not enough to settle which owner earned the proceeds.
Check what kind of pending transaction it is
The word pending does not always describe a completed sale waiting in escrow.
| What you expected | What to establish first |
|---|---|
| Proceeds from a Limited you resold | Find the actual sale; listing an item for sale does not mean someone bought it. |
| Earnings from an Experience Pass | Match the pass and seller to the recorded sale. |
| A direct Robux transfer from another user | Check Roblox's transfer notification and eligibility instructions. This has its own acceptance process. |
| Payment from a group | Check the appropriate group payout record instead of assuming it is a personal item sale. |
That transfer distinction matters. Roblox's current transfer help describes accepting a transfer and, where applicable, obtaining linked-parent approval or meeting age requirements. A held transfer can appear under Pending Robux while those requirements remain incomplete. Waiting for a sale's escrow period would not answer that different problem. Follow the prompts in your Roblox account and the official sending and receiving guide.
If you cannot list your owned copy at all, use the separate guide to why a Roblox Limited cannot be resold. A restriction before a sale and pending proceeds after a sale need different checks.
How long should pending Robux take?
Use guidance for the transaction type you actually have. Roblox's Marketplace creator documentation specifies a 30-day escrow for the commissions on item sales covered by that creator-sales section. That does not make every pending balance a 30-day timer, or turn an item-ownership holding period into a payout deadline. Marketplace fees and commissions.
There can also be several sales behind one pending total. A change in that total does not show which sale changed status. If you use the sales-data download described below, compare each sale's Hold Status and date. Without that detail, do not infer an individual payment's release from the aggregate balance.
Do not estimate your proceeds by multiplying every displayed sale price by one familiar percentage. Creator commissions, resale proceeds and other transaction types have different rules. The amount a buyer paid and the amount attributable to you can differ.
If you manage creator sales, the download can help
Roblox documents a sales-data download from the Sales of Goods view for personal or group sales. It requires a verified email and an authenticator app configured for two-step verification. Follow the current instructions if you need the export; it is not necessary just to check an ordinary balance.
The documented CSV includes the sale time in UTC, asset identity, price, revenue and a Hold Status field with values such as Held, Released and Cancelled. Roblox says the generated data updates every 48 hours, so it is not a live second-by-second view. Keep that refresh delay separate from the proceeds' holding period. Creator Hub sales-data documentation.
Use the record to ask a specific question: which sale remains held, which asset does it refer to, and what date does the record show? Keep the download private. A public troubleshooting post does not need the file's buyer identifiers or your entire sales history.
When the sale or proceeds still do not make sense
If there is no matching sale after checking the account, transaction type and visible period, record that as a missing sale record. Do not turn an empty filtered view into proof that the buyer lied or that Roblox took the proceeds.
If a pending amount changes without the available balance behaving as expected, check the rest of the transaction history and Roblox messages. Other purchases can affect the balance. Roblox also documents notices explaining Robux removed following a refund on a related purchase; that explanation applies when there is a corresponding notice, not whenever a number falls. Robux removal notices.
For an unresolved discrepancy, contact Roblox Support with the account username, item or pass link, sale date, transaction type and the specific status you can see. A cropped screenshot of the relevant record is more useful than “my Robux are gone.” Exclude passwords, session cookies, verification codes and unrelated account details.
A public price tracker cannot resolve a private transaction record or release Robux. RAP and item-value observations describe market information, not your spendable balance. If you find transactions you did not authorize, move to the account-security checks instead of treating the issue as an ordinary wait.
