Check the exact item and the copy you own before changing settings or buying a subscription. A price chart, a high RAP, or another player's sale does not establish that your copy is eligible for resale now.

Roblox's reselling guide limits resale to eligible Limited and Limited U items after their holding period. The guide currently names an active Roblox Plus subscription as a requirement. It also lists regional restrictions: resale is unavailable in South Korea, and users in Japan can resell only eligible items originally made by Roblox.

Start with the item, then the copy

Open the item from your own inventory. Compare its name and item type with what you intended to sell. Roblox's item-details guide explains where to inspect these fields, the Limited label, reseller offers and price history.

A similarly named accessory can lead to the wrong page. Keep the item's link in your notes so you can return to the same listing instead of repeating a name search. If you own several copies, distinguish them before diagnosing the missing control.

On the details page, find Owned Items below the chart, select your copy, and look for Sell. Roblox documents this listing sequence. If the action is present, review the amount carefully before confirming: Roblox warns that it cannot reverse a completed sale caused by a price entered too low.

If the action is missing, record that symptom. It is more precise than saying the whole marketplace is broken.

A holding period can still apply

Roblox's current Marketplace documentation describes a holding period of up to 30 days after purchasing a Limited. It also says resale of creator-made Limiteds depends on the original creator enabling it.

The phrase "up to" is not a promise that every item waits exactly 30 days. An older tutorial's countdown is also not evidence that your particular copy should already be available. Record when and how you obtained it, and read any restriction shown by Roblox for that copy.

Consider an illustrative case: you already own one copy and acquire another later. Seeing a resale option for the first copy does not settle the status of the second. Keep their acquisition details separate when checking eligibility or contacting support. Do not use the age of the item itself as the age of your ownership.

No browser extension can grant an account a resale permission that Roblox withholds. A monitoring alert does not release a hold.

Check the subscription without buying twice

Roblox's documentation has a wording difference worth knowing. Its reselling guide names Roblox Plus, while the item-details guide also mentions legacy Premium. The Creator Hub resale section refers to Plus or Premium members.

If you already have a legacy subscription, inspect your account's entitlement and ask Roblox Support about the unavailable feature before purchasing another plan. A missing button alone does not identify which requirement failed.

RoTrail's paid plans are separate products. Buying RoTrail Plus or Pro does not supply a Roblox subscription or change marketplace eligibility.

Reselling, trading and pending Robux are different checks

Reselling puts an owned copy on the market for Robux. Trading exchanges eligible items with another player. Roblox's trading guide has its own requirements, including age checks, account settings and supported regions. It identifies Roblox-created Limiteds as tradeable. A missing Trade Items option therefore needs a different diagnosis from a missing Sell option.

If you are exchanging items with another player, diagnose a missing Trade Items button using the trading requirements for both accounts.

If the item has already sold and the concern is your balance, check the transaction record. Roblox's reselling guide directs users to My Transactions for sales and pending Robux. Changing the item's listing again will not explain the status of proceeds from a completed sale.

A useful support note names the stage: "I own the copy but cannot list it," "the listing exists but has no buyer," or "the sale completed and the proceeds are pending." These descriptions point to different records and save an avoidable round of questions.

If the copy has already sold, check pending Robux against the sale record rather than changing its resale settings.

A market alert does not prove that a sale is possible

RAP and a seller's asking price answer different questions. Roblox's details guide describes the reseller list as current asking prices and the chart as price history. Our RAP explainer covers that distinction.

RoTrail's limited-item alerts compare supported item-data observations. Its value-to-RAP gap is not a live seller offer, a promise of a buyer, or a test of your copy's resale eligibility. Use the limited tracker guide to understand the signals before relying on an alert.

If eligibility still looks unexplained, contact Roblox Support with the item link, the relevant copy, acquisition date, displayed restriction and subscription status. Crop unrelated account details from screenshots. Never send a session cookie or password to anyone offering to unlock the item.
