If the Roblox Trade Items button is missing, check access for both players before changing an item listing. Native trading exchanges eligible items between players. The Sell control on an owned Limited serves a different purpose.

Start on the other player's Roblox profile in a web browser. Open More, the three-dot menu in the profile box, and look for Trade Items. That is the route in Roblox's trading instructions. Instructions for a feature inside a particular experience do not necessarily describe this system.

Write down which stage fails

Three problems can sound like "trading is broken":

What you see What to inspect first
Trade Items is absent from the profile menu Both accounts' trading access and current settings
The offer window opens, but a specific item is absent That item's creator and Tradable field
An offer was sent, but the recipient cannot find it Trade records and the recipient's filter settings

These are checks to narrow the problem, not confirmed diagnoses. If the offer window already opens, repeating the profile-menu instructions will not explain one missing accessory.

For a clear comparison, note whether the problem concerns one recipient or every recipient you have tried. Do not send test offers or transfer an item just to demonstrate that a button works.

Check both accounts' eligibility

The dedicated Roblox trading guide currently requires both players to complete an age check, have trading access, enable trading and inventory visibility, and be in a supported region. It lists South Korea as unsupported.

For subscriptions, that guide names Roblox Plus or legacy Roblox Premium. It also describes a temporary United States promotion allowing two free trades per month. That is the wording checked on 23 October 2026. Read the current requirements and your account's eligibility before treating any subscription rule as universal.

A missing button does not tell you which account failed which requirement. If you already have legacy Premium, check its status and the displayed restriction before buying another plan.

Age checking also differs from entering a birthday. Roblox's age-check help describes facial age estimation and eligible ID verification, with consent requirements in some regions. Follow the options Roblox presents to your account.

As a hypothetical example, two players may both own eligible Limiteds and have subscriptions while only one has completed an age check. Checking the items again would leave the account requirement unresolved.

Review trading and visibility controls carefully

Open Account Settings, then Privacy & content restrictions, then Trading & inventory. Read the available controls on each account. If a parent manages the account, review the parental control instructions together.

Roblox's help pages disagree on one detail. Its trading guide calls for inventory visibility to be enabled. Its browser inventory guide says hiding your inventory does not affect the Trading System. Neither statement establishes that every player must expose their inventory to Everyone.

Check the controls and any explanation shown on your account. If visibility appears to block trading despite the inventory guide, send Roblox Support the exact setting and restriction. Our public-or-private inventory guide explains the audience options; changing an audience should be a deliberate choice.

Do not confuse being able to see someone's inventory with being able to trade with them. A readable inventory page is only evidence about visibility. It does not verify the other account's age check, subscription or regional access.

A Limited label does not settle whether an item can trade

Roblox's Creator Hub Marketplace documentation says only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable. A creator-made Limited can have a resale market without being eligible for player-to-player trading.

Open the exact item page and check the creator and Tradable field. Roblox's item-details guide identifies that field as the item-level check.

For example, suppose the trade window opens and shows one of your Limiteds but omits another. If the omitted item is creator-made, the fact that someone can resell it does not establish trade eligibility. A name, thumbnail or high RAP cannot override its permissions.

If the item says it is tradeable and still does not appear, record the item link and any restriction shown for your copy. Do not import a resale holding-period estimate from a different workflow. The missing Sell option guide covers resale separately.

If the problem is a missing offer

The trading guide distinguishes received and sent offers from completed or closed trades. It also describes a trade quality filter that hides offers below the selected level. Review those trade records and filter controls if an offer seems absent.

Avoid lowering the filter or accepting an unwanted offer just to test delivery. Write down the sender, recipient and approximate send time, then compare the relevant records.

Price research is another separate task. Our RAP explainer explains why a recent average price is not an offer someone has made. Restoring the trade window does not establish that an exchange is fair.

If the access problem remains, contact Roblox Support with the stage that fails, both public profile links, the relevant item link and the error text. A report saying "the profile menu has no Trade Items option" is more useful than a screenshot of an unrelated Sell menu.
